Junk Activism

Controversial Christian broadcaster Dr. James Dobson’s nomination for the National Radio Hall of Fame is being challenged by gay segmentation groups like “Truth Wins Out” and the “Gay Liberation Network” who have decided to form yet ANOTHER organization called the “Dump Dobson Coalition”.

I must say, good job Dr. Dobson!  Starting a radio show that gets the support of hundreds of thousands is a great accomplishment.  Getting a spot in the National Radio Hall of Fame is a great accomplishment.  But you’ve reached the pinnacle of controversy when you have a hate coalition named in your honor.

Really, McDonalds?  You sell the cheapest, crappiest food the world has ever seen.   You refuse to refund a friggin’ sandwich after insulting a gay man and look what you’ve brought onto yourself.

Ronald, I ask… have you not seen the “LGBT” parading the streets in droves?  Have you not seen the streets of thousands touting rainbow flags across the country?

Do I even have to point out how cool this is?   Do I have to point out how perfect for this blog it is?

19 year old Jennifer Thornburg vows so passionately for attention that she has changed her name to the URL of her new Dissection protest site.

PETA fan Jennifer was disgusted by the idea of learning biology by poking scalpels at a tasty animal’s insides.  Or…maybe she flunked biology…. but whatever it is, by adding “Dissection” to her name, it serves as a lifelong constant reminder of her obsession with what seems to have been the worst experience of her high school career.  She wants to be called “Cutout” for short.

Now let me tell you why this is so crucially important…

WHAT AN AWESOME WAY TO GET TRAFFIC TO YOUR WEBSITE! Change your legal name to a dot-com.

There are far better names than “CutoutDissection.com” that would accomplish your goal in a more righteous manner.  Like, for instance, “JunkActivism.com”.  We could call you “Junk” for short.

I couldn’t pay for that kind of publicity…..or could I?

What do you say, Jennifer?  er…I mean, CutoutDissection.com?

Ok, I’ll admit it.  I’ve got nothing on this one but have to mention it, if anything for noble cause because I’m a big supporter of education.

Parents of a special needs kid in the Puyallup School District are protesting the district because their son is being issued janitorial work like scraping moss off of sidewalks, doing yard work, and picking up trash after school.

Really…what kind of blow-off is this?  Shouldn’t these teachers be showing him how to use a computer, how to speak, or some worthwhile social skills instead of putting them to work for The System?
